Summary
The Hague Compact Pro Jib is a traditional camera jib which is compact, lightweight and easy to transport. It utilises the video head and the legs of your own tripod and you can operate the jib from either end. At the camera end you will be able to both pan and tilt, crane up and down and pan the jib from side to side. It’s ideal for both camcorders and DSLRs cameras weighing less than 3kg (6.6lbs). This low cost system gives you great control over your shots and allows you to create really smooth professional crane and panning movement.
Design
This Hague compact camera jib has been designed for use with tripod’s that use the 75mm “bowl type” levelling system. The video head is simply removed from the tripod legs and the jib is then attached and secured through the bowl on the tripod, the head then fastens to the levelling bowl on the end of the jib. The jib is supplied in two parts and is very quick and simple to set up.
The jib’s telescopic counterbalancing arm uses standard bar weights, or a sandbag, for counterbalance (not supplied). Once balanced the jib has an effortlessly smooth vertical crane movement that will lift your camera from ground level to 2 metres (79”) high. On the side of the jib there are several mounting points for a monitor, or any other accessories, to be attached. A pan lock and a jib lock will hold the jib in a set position when required.
The Hague Compact Pro Jib can be used on any 75mm "Bowl type" tripod, or on a 60 or 65mm "Bowl type" tripod but the optional stepper ring (SR75) would be required to attach the tripod head to the jibs bowl. On a sturdy tripod the jib will support a maximum weight of 8kg (17.6lbs) including video head and camera. Standard bar weights or a sandbag are required for counterbalance.
