Available in five focal lengths—18mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm—the AUREUS PRIME lenses all feature a fast T1.4 aperture and are built with a robust, lightweight housing.

With a 46mm image circle, AUREUS PRIME lenses are fully compatible with full-frame and large-format sensors. The ultra-fast T1.4 aperture delivers shallow depth of field, making it easier to separate your subject from the background while capturing a cinematic feel. And thanks to the 11-blade iris, bokeh is smooth and rounded—ideal for stylized portraits, interviews, or atmospheric scenes.

From night exteriors to low-light interiors, the wide aperture gives DPs more flexibility with natural and practical lighting. The lenses also maintain optical quality across the full aperture range, from T1.4 to T22—ensuring fine detail and clarity, whether you’re shooting wide open or stopping down.

OPTICAL DESIGN THAT HOLDS UP UNDER PRESSURE
Each AUREUS PRIME lens features an advanced optical structure with ultra-low dispersion elements. This minimizes chromatic aberration, distortion, and color fringing—preserving crisp detail and true-to-life color even in high-contrast scenes. Anti-reflective coatings reduce ghosting and flare, helping retain strong black levels and contrast without sacrificing highlight detail.

This translates into less correction in post, better consistency across your footage, and an image that’s ready for grading straight out of camera.

VIRTUALLY ZERO FOCUS BREATHING
Focus breathing can ruin a shot. That’s why NiSi engineered the AUREUS PRIME lenses to exhibit almost no visible breathing. Your framing stays consistent, even during deep focus pulls—a critical feature for narrative, commercial, or interview work where precision and visual consistency matter.

Combined with a generous 300° focus throw, these lenses allow for smooth, accurate focus pulls—ideal for first ACs working on high-resolution productions. 

DESIGNED FOR WORKFLOW EFFICIENCY
Time is precious on set, and the AUREUS PRIME design reflects that. All lenses in the set share the same 90mm front diameter, 1300g weight, and matched gear positions. That means you can swap focal lengths without rebalancing a gimbal or adjusting follow focus and matte boxes.

Glow-in-the-dark engravings on the focus and aperture rings make the lenses easier to use during low-light shoots, while the interchangeable focus scales (feet or meters) accommodate different team preferences. REAR-MOUNTED FILTER SYSTEM FOR MORE CREATIVE CONTROL
Each AUREUS PRIME lens includes a built-in rear filter holder. This lets you use ND, diffusion, or other filters without relying on bulky matte boxes—particularly helpful for lightweight builds, drone setups, or minimal rigging.

The lenses are compatible with standard PL-mount cameras, and the flange distance at infinity ranges from 16.1mm to 19.8mm across the set. This ensures seamless pairing with all major cinema systems and a wide range of PL adapters, including those that support drop-in filters.
