BirdDog Play is a brand-new hardware device designed as a low-cost NDI receiver to allow NDI to be distributed at scale.
Harnessing the latest advances in NDI 5 supporting ARM processors, Play is the world’s lowest cost NDI hardware.
Our aim with PLAY is to provide a fully integrated solution for low-cost NDI® monitoring, providing a complete turnkey device that works out of the box. In addition to being attractive in terms of pricing, PLAY is a fully-fledged part of the BirdDog family including

- BirdDog Central connectivity
- BirdDog Cloud integration
Easily navigable UI with the same DNA as the upcoming SDM family
BirdDog Play can support a whole host of video formats and resolutions including NDI®, NDI|HX2, BirdDog Cloud Connect (see below), SRT, and NDI® Remote - up to 4K60p. Video resolution and frame rate varies for each format – final details will be announced prior to shipping.
Featuring a Gigabit ethernet connection as well as WIFI, PLAY is designed to mount behind TVs and commercial displays and even includes a magnetic base to mount to the back of your TV and keep the unit neat and tidy.
Powered by USB-C (5v, 1.5a) the PLAY device is super easy to install and can be powered by the on-board USB port featured in most TV sets today.
