Product Information

Kinefinity Active E Mount

Kinefinity has created a new electronic E-mount, which is suitable for MAVO Edge 8K and MAVO Edge 6K cameras, supports electronic lenses , and brings a modern, lightweight, familiar and efficient user experience.

Compared with the previous generation Kinefinity passive E mount, the electronic E mount supports electronic control of the lens . Users can adjust important parameters such as aperture, focal length, and focus through the body; the lens data is displayed in real time, and the interaction is intuitive and efficient. At the same time, it supports optical image stabilization of the lens , improves image quality, and brings more stable and clear picture performance.

The electronic E-mount is connected to the camera body through four screws to ensure the stability of the overall structure , and at the same time, it can be switched with the KineMOUNT mount for comprehensive and stable shooting.

Support electronic control*, omnipotent and comprehensive

Stepless and precise aperture control: Turn the body wheel to adjust the aperture, and you can also adjust the aperture gear through the in-camera operation, which is convenient, fast, and precise and infinitely control the aperture; the features optimized for video shooting bring a familiar movie lens experience.

Body-controlled built-in servo zoom: When using a manual zoom lens, the actual focal length number is displayed inside the camera to control the current zoom parameters in real time; in addition to manual zoom, the camera also supports focal length adjustment with a servo lens, and the lens zoom can be easily controlled through the body buttons.

Large stroke control focus**: In the AF mode of the lens, the lens focus can be adjusted through the buttons on the body; in the AF/MF mode, the focus can be achieved by turning the lens focus ring; the UI displays the lens focus information, and the focus is displayed as a percentage journey.

Support optical image stabilization to improve image quality: match with an E-mount lens that supports optical image stabilization, enable the anti-shake function in the camera, or turn on the anti-shake switch on the lens to reduce the shake when capturing optical signals; for handheld, telephoto Lens shooting, assisting in achieving stable and clear shooting images.

*The electronic E-mount does not support the electronic E-to-EF adapter ring for the time being. Support for other adapter rings will continue to be updated.

**The electronic E-mount does not support the autofocus function of the lens.

Metadata display, intuitive and efficient interaction

In-camera interaction, quick adjustment: long press the aperture button on the camera body, you can enter the lens control interface to display the actual focal length number and aperture information, and realize the parameter adjustment centered on the screen.

Real-time display of lens shooting parameters: On the monitoring screen of MAVO Edge 8K or MAVO Edge 6K , real-time metadata consistent with the Cooke /i protocol movie lens is presented, allowing photographers to know the current real-time aperture and focal length, as well as the current precise focus position .

Accurately record lens metadata: Automatically identify the lens model, read the lens metadata and record it to the material, no matter when the camera is playing back or post-processing the material, the corresponding lens information of the material can be obtained; simplify the workflow, improve the set and post-processing efficiency.

Movie-level reliable design, precise locking lens

The original structure design of the body: four screws support the stainless steel flange surface, which is the same as your other film equipment, long-lasting and durable, and safe to shoot.

Replaceable bayonet design: No need to correct the flange distance when removing and installing screws; it is convenient to replace the original PL mount anytime and anywhere , or replace the original KineMOUNT with an adapter mount to match multiple lenses such as EF/PL/LPL, and more lens choices. Users are free to match as they like.

Active rotation locking lens: With a wrench, the active rotation locking method, like the familiar PL mount , faces the body, and tightens clockwise until it is in place, even if an external follow focus is used, it is safe and reliable.

Lightweight structure makes creation more efficient: while containing many electronic control systems, it also maintains a compact shape, which can be easily controlled regardless of zoom lens or telephoto; lightweight and convenient, lightweight makes everything agile.
