A Legend Reborn. The new Varotal/i FF zoom range – designed and built without compromise, with optimal image performance and /i Technology inside. Matched to our S7/I range and capable of achieving the beautiful, classical skin tones that characterise our now legendary look.
Optical Design
Optimised for elegant, beautiful, classical, skin tones and skin texture encompassing the Cooke Look. The Cooke Varotal/i FF Zoom Lens optics are strikingly similar to the S7/i range of Cinema Prime lenses – with the added benefit of being Zoom lenses
Aperture
Cooke Varotal lenses have a T2.9 full aperture covering Full Frame sensors.
/i Technology
Accessible via cable connector near the lens mount and contacts in mount that sync with /i compatible cameras and accessories.
Weight/Size Ratio
The lenses are designed for all shooting applications, including handheld and Steadicam, providing comfortable balance ratio with the latest digital cinema cameras.
Compatibility
Cooke Varotal/i FF Lenses have a common fixed diameter of 114mm with industry standard Focus, Iris, and Zoom Gear pitch of M0.8.
Colour Balance
All Varotal Lenses are colour balanced across the range and are matched in resolution, colour and fall off to the S7/i Cinema Prime lens range.

Camera Mounts
PL or LPL with /i Technology contact pins.
External Finish
A scratch resistant PTFE hard anodised finish is provided on all Cooke lenses, providing a durable, hard-wearing surface to meet the most demanding environmental conditions.
