This is a rubber microphone spacer from Sony specifically designed to be used on shotgun microphones in order to to increase the diameter.
The Sony Spacer enables smaller diameter microphones like the Sennheiser & Audio Technica to fit into the microphone holder without wobbling and vibrating during filming.
Adds approximately 6mm To The Diameter Of Microphone.
