Canon Battery Grip BG-E22
For extended shooting and enhanced handling when used in the vertical position, the Battery Grip BG-E22 for the EOS R allows two LP-E6N batteries to be used and offers internal battery charging via the USB Power Adapter PD-E1.

The Battery Grip BG-E22 accepts two high capacity lithium-ion LP-E6/LP-E6N batteries, the same as used on Canon’s EOS 6D Mark II, EOS 7D Mark II, EOS 5D Mark IV and EOS 5DS/5DS R DSLRs.

PC terminal for syncing external studio flash with the EOS R
A PC terminal is located on the battery grip to allow traditional wired studio flash to be used. By placing the terminal on the grip, space is made available on the EOS R for other connections.
