4 Channel SWIT PC-P430A Chassis Switcher for Gold-Mount (Anton Bauer) Battery.
Supports fast charging with DC 16.8V / 3A output for each slot and charges all batteries simultaneously.
The charger is equipped with LEDs for each slot, with red, yellow, and green charging status.
2 x XLR Output
The SWIT PC-P430A charger is equipped with two 4-pin XLR outputs for powering devices such as lights, cameras, mixers, or other accessories. If you do not charge the batteries, two independent XLR outputs with 90W (15V, 6A) are available.
Optimum charging curve and built-in battery protection features
SWIT PC-P430A can detect different chemical batches of batteries to choose the optimal charging program, which protects the battery from excessive current, overflow and high charging temperatures.
Charging li-ion cells in the PC-P430A charger is primarily in two phases.
The first part of charging runs through a constant current when charging at the highest speed. At this stage, the charger selects a max.
Current value according to the detected battery type and gradually increases the voltage from 15 V to a maximum of 20 V.
When the battery reaches a specific voltage after a certain time, the charging switches to the second phase of the constant voltage. In the second charging phase, the voltage value is maximum and does not change.
The charging circuit delivers only limited battery current to maintain tension on the cells and gradually reduces the current value until the maximum charge is reached.
This contributes to optimal and gentle charging and does not cause battery leakage, which is typical of cheap chargers with simple charging circuits.
Overcharging has an adverse effect on the life of cells inside the battery and can lead to sudden battery failure.
