Vinten Vision 250E Fluid Head with Optical Encoders
The Vinten Vision 250E Fluid Head adds optical encoders to the Vision 250 fluid head.
The optical encoders allow the head to precisely monitor and communicate in real time the precise positioning of the pan and tilt mechanisms along their axes. Knowing the exact positioning makes precise camera movements repeatable with greater accuracy. The encoders transmit their data via a 19-pin Fischer port.
The Vision 250E can hold cameras weighing from 22 to 73 pounds and has an electronically adjustable counterbalance control for precise setup without the difficulty of balancing a manual system when approaching the weight limit. Drag controls and the bubble level on the head are illuminated for increased visibility in dimly-lit situations.
Vinten's TF (Thin-Film) Drag is incorporated into the Vision 250E. TF Drag is a fully calibrated drag system, allowing camera operators to 'dial in' their preferred settings whether they be for critical slow pans with long lenses or fast-moving sports. The whip-pan facility is unaffected by the pan drag setting.
