Shape Composite Grip Camera Support

The Shape Composite Grip Camera Support is an adjustable, lightweight, and compact 15mm LWS shoulder mount rig for DSLRs and compact video cameras.

The rig is built around the Paparazzi Riser baseplate, a pair of 15mm Sliding Rod Blocks, and a set of four 8" 15mm rods. The sliding rod blocks enable you to adjust the height of the rods to suit your camera setup. For shoulder mounted shooting, handles and a shoulder pad are included the mount onto the rods. The handles feature rosettes and SHAPE's patented spring-loaded push-button technology that lets you quickly adjust the angle of the grips on-the-fly with just the push of your thumb. The Adjustable Composite Shoulder Pad is height adjustable thanks to its own Sliding Rod Block. For additional support and comfort, a Back Pad is also included that attaches to the rear of the shoulder pad. When you need to go tripod-mounted, the Paparazzi Riser features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes at the bottom.

Paparazzi Riser
The Shape Paparazzi Riser is a camera riser that can be placed either parallel or perpendicular to the camera support, which enables raising the camera directly above the camera support or offset to the right or to the left.

The Paparazzi Riser features a variety of threaded holes (1/4-20" and 3/8-16"); one located on the base is used to attach the riser onto a camera support, while the threaded holes in front and rear of the Paparazzi Riser attach various accessories like the sliding rod block.

With a camera base of 2", the riser can be used to attach a small video camera or a DSLR with video capability. Made of aluminum and built using CNC machines, the Paparazzi Riser is compatible with the camera supports of the Cameleon, Composite, Red Mamouth, Spider, and Sumo series and is hard anodized for a resistant finish.

Sliding Rod Block
The SHAPE Sliding Rod Block allows you to attach 15mm rods to select SHAPE gear and adjust them vertically to support different sized lenses and accessories.
Using supplied screws, it can be attached to the front of the PAPARAZZI RISER, CAMELEON I, SPIDER I, SUMO I, and other rigs/accessories that support the screw pattern. One ratchet knob tightens both optional rods in place.

Pair of 15mm Female - Female Rod (8")
The Shape Pair of 15mm Female - Female Rod (8") are anodized aluminum rods with 1/2"-13 threaded female extremities.

The rods are 8" (203mm) long and have a diameter of 0.59" (15mm). You can use the 15mm Female - Female Rods (8") with 15mm Male - Female Rod (4" / 101.6mm), 15mm Female - Female Rod (6" / 152.4mm), Rod Black, and the Sliding Rod Block.

Quick Handle + Rod Block
The Shape Quick Handle + Rod Block is a professional video stabilization accessory with 2 camera handles, each providing an individual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple push button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal.

Combined with the anodized aluminum Rod Block, the Quick Handle offers composite camera support for all 15mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Block. With 2 screw-threaded holes, the Rod Block provides for attachment of components such as the Quick Handle.

Adjustable Composite Shoulder Pad
The SHAPE Adjustable Composite Shoulder Pad is a core component of SHAPE's Composite series of camera supports. The pad rests on the camera operator's shoulder to transfer the weight of the camera and any accessories closer to the core of the body. The lightweight aluminum shoulder pad is padded for comfort.
Attached to the front of the pad, the included Sliding Rod Block enables the adjustment – up to 2.75 in (7.0 cm) – that allows the operator to set a pair of 15mm rods and at the proper vertical level.

The Adjustable Composite Shoulder Pad is compatible with several other camera rig components from SHAPE and, because it accepts standard 15mm rods, other manufacturers as well. You can attach a counterweight to the back of the shoulder pad to provide more support for the camera rig. The shoulder pad is recommended for camera rigs up to 15 lb (6.8 kg) if you're supporting it with dual rods or up to 7.5 lb (3.4 kg) if you're using a single rod, so it's perfect for heavy DSLR setups and lighter HD video camera rigs.

Back Pad
The Shape Back Pad is a professional video accessory that weighs 0.35 lb (0.160 kg) and offers augmented camera support stability and comfort. Padded on one side, the pad is attached to the shoulder rig via a screw knob.

You can adjust the positioning of the Back Pad in accordance to your body type with a vertical adjustment range of 1-1/4" and a horizontal adjustment spanning 360°. A screw knob allows easy attachment and removal of the back pad from the support. With a 1/4-20 threaded hole, the Back Pad supports attachment of the Shape Box and other accessories.

The Back Pad is compatible with all Shape camera supports except the Mountain series.
