The Glidecam X-30 Support Sled with Gold Mount Battery Plate is designed to hold film and video cameras weighing from 15 to 30 lb. It is comprised of four components: camera balance platform, three-axis gimbal, dynamic base platform, and telescoping center post. The camera balance platform (X-Y head or top stage) incorporates a quick release, no-tools, drop-in dovetail camera plate that allows you to quickly attach or remove your camera. Ergonomic fine-tuning control knobs allow quick and precise adjustment of the platform's front-to-back and side-to-side movement, allowing you to quickly adjust the system's horizontal balance.

The three-axis gimbal incorporates several adjustable axis convergence controls for proper operational alignment, without the need for using tools. By changing the location of the gimbal on the center post, you can quickly adjust the system's vertical balance. For improved control, a very tight knurling has been machined onto the gimbal tube.

The dynamic base platform is designed to be manually extended or retracted. This allows you to easily adjust the system's dynamic balance, or increase/decrease the system's rotational pan inertia. The base platform can be set up with up to three Gold Mount batteries (not included) with two on the base and one behind the monitor. The lightweight and rigid telescoping center post is 1.8" in diameter. The no-tools assembly allows you to easily adjust the sled's length and the position of the LCD monitor (not included) and battery.
