The Samyang 50mm T1.3 AS UMC CS VDSLR / Cine lens is the film / video version of the Samyang 50mm f/1.2 AS UMC CS lens featuring the same superb optics, but with integrated gearing for video rigs with follow focus systems, including decoupled aperture, and T stops.

The Cine lenses allow more controlled filming operation, the declicked aperture operates quietly and smoothly, distance scales and T numbers are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience of operation.

The Samyang 50mm T1.3 lens is a fully manual lens including manual focus, specifically designed for mirrorless cameras with APS-C or smaller sized sensor. Equivalent to a short telephoto lens, equivalent to 75mm on 1.5x crop APS-C sensor, 80mm on 1.6x Crop (Canon M) and 100mm lens on 2x crop MFT sensor The Samyang 50mm T1.3 cine is a great lens for close cropped portraits, and other applications requiring a short, fast telephoto lens. Its relatively compact size and weight for such a fast aperture lens means it is easily portable and unobtrusive, great for candid or low light street video or film work.

The Samyang 50mm T1.3 is a fully manual lens, with bright T1.3 / f1.2 aperture, together with 9 circular bladed aperture offers beautiful bokeh, and separation of the background with shallow depth of field work, particularly useful to achieve the cinema look.

This lens features 9 elements in 7 groups including 2 glass aspherical lenses (ASP) to offer high resolution and edge to edge sharpness throughout the image. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) of Samyang Optics is used to optimize the light transmission and minimizes artefacts such as internal reflections, flare and ghosting.

The solid frame of the lens is made of high-strength aluminium alloy, compact and relatively lightweight for such a fast aperture lens, weighing around 400g. As the lens is specifically designed for the mirror-less Compact System Cameras (CSC) such as Sony NEX / ILCE, Olympus PEN / OM-D, Panasonic Lumix G, Blackmagic MFT, Fujifilm X, and Canon EOS M series.
