PortaBrace SMG-2B SMG-2 Smuggler Camera Case
The black SMG-2 Smuggler Camera Case is designed to carry the new generation of small digital cameras like the Canon XL-1 and the Sony DSR-200A. It is rigid and well padded for maximum protection for the camera and extra protection for delicate viewfinders.
Exterior and interior pockets provide room for batteries, tapes, tripod plate, white balance card, and accessories.
Suede shoulder strap and white balance card are included. It has 2 modes of use compressed for air travel and expanded for in-the-field use. The Smuggler satisfies airline size requirements by allowing you to partially dismantle your camera for travel. (This is usually limited to removing viewfinder, mic, and sometimes brick battery, and lens shade). Soft padded fleece lined bags are provided to add individual protection for packing dismantled components.
The SMG-2 case has a shelf that creates useable space over the lens to house the dismantled viewfinder and/or battery. If it is necessary to remove the lens, the shelf turns on its side and touch fasteners to help keep the camera and lens safely separated.
The armored plastic viewfinder protector and the back of the Smuggler case compress flat while a "travel cover" wraps the case tightly for snag free shipping. A LI-GLW illumination strip light pocket is included.
