Samyang 50mm T1.5 VDSLR AS UMC Lens Nikon F-Mount
The Samyang 50mm T1.5 VDSLR manual focus lens can be used in cameras with image size up to Full Frame 35mm.
Its Low T-number gives better light gathering power and greater choice when it comes to selecting depth of field. Its optical construction comprises 9 Elements in 6 Groups including a “H-ASP” Hybrid Aspherical and a Glass Aspherical (ASP) element. H-ASP gives exceptional reduction of chromatic aberration and great contrast levels right to the edge of the image, even at wide apertures. The optical surfaces have been treated with Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) to optimise light transmission as well as minimising ghosting and flare, working beneficially with the supplied petal lens hood. The optical arrangement also allows a close focusing of just 45cm.
For cinema use, Samyang VDSLR lenses have an uncoupled aperture and focus gear ring for smooth adjustment such as when using follow focus systems, and distance scale / T-markings are on both sides of the lens for easy reading while pulling focus.
Usability is ket to this lens and its body is constructed using a strong aluminium alloy and has an 8-Blade Circular Aperture for smooth and natural looking defocused areas to your images, often referred to as good “bokeh”.
All Samyang VDSLR lenses have the same colour balance and location of gearing teeth to provide consistency and ease of swapping when used as a system.
