The Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D Lens in Micro Four Thirds MFT / M43 mount is here. Exciting prime providing ultra wide-angle coverage up to 113° angle of view which is the widest in its class. The tiny size & light weight match perfectly with many micro four thirds cameras. Two aspherical elements plus three extra-low dispersion elements successfully correct the chromatic aberration, achieving close-to-zero distortion, and great edge to edge sharpness. Ultra compact lens, just 215g designed to mount to any Micro Four Thirds mount camera (MFT). Additionally the lens accepts 49mm filter size.
The Micro Four Thirds mount is designed for Panasonic G-series, Olympus OM-D / PEN and other MFT mount mirrorless camera systems such as the Blackmagic Design BMPCC 4K.
This exciting prime lens provides ultra wide-angle coverage up to 113° angle of view (100° on MFT system). The tiny size & light weight match perfectly with mirrorless cameras and are suitable for use with gimbals. 2 aspherical elements plus 3 extra-low dispersion elements successfully correct chromatic aberration, achieve close-to-zero distortion and delivers excellent corner to corner sharpness.
Pairing an ultra wide-angle field of view with an especially compact design. The lens offers a 18mm equivalent focal length on 2x crop MFT sensors. As a Zero-D lens (near "Zero-Distortion"), this 9mm f/2.8’s optical design is specifically designed to minimise any optical distortion. This is extremely useful for both architectural photographers and aerial videographers. This also saves a lot time in post-processing.
The optical design incorporates a pair of aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to control both spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness and reduced color fringing. Bright f/2.8 maximum aperture is well-suited to working in low and difficult lighting conditions.
The tiny size with lightweight design earn this lens a permanent and small space in a camera bag. A petal-shaped lens hood is also included to reduce flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions. Its sleek and lightweight design is well-matched to mirrorless bodies and is ideal for everyday shooting as well as use on gimbals, and a perfect companion for vlogging.
