The RB-SM1 consists of a converter which will produce a fully buffered and balanced mono line output from a single stereo input.
All connections are on the rear panel of the unit. The XLR-3 input is electronically balanced with an impedance of 20kohm bridging.
It can be wired unbalanced to accept an output from domestic equipment.
The XLR-3 line output is electronically balanced with an output impedance of Output gain adjustment using pre-set potentiometers allows a normalised mono output from domestic stereo equipment.
The potentiometers are accessible through the rear panel.
The Sonifex Redbox SM1 can be rackmounted for studio use or to be fitted to an OB truck.
